I am on the road and trying some new recipes for spicy bird seed. I have a four different pepper spices to try on black sunflower seed.

Why do this?

We have some very hungry squirrels eating all of the bird seed, seed cakes and suet cakes. The spicy cakes and cylinders slow them down and really discourage them from eating the seed.

I want to try some different types of spices and hot sauce to see how the squirrels react.

Tomorrow I will be mixing up some spicy seeds (4-6 varieties), and I’ll get to test them on Friday. Should be fun!
