The Sunshine Mosque committee, members, supporters and friends endured very difficult times and required extensive financial assistance from the local community and other well wishers who came together to make the dream of this mosque for the Western Suburbs a reality! . The whole project was managed by the late Mr Hasan Dellal, who had spent many hours to say the least coordinating its development.

Today the Sunshine Mosque represents an achievement and a gift to the wider Australian community by the Turkish Cypriot community. To Muslims it is a place of worship and a meeting place, to non-Muslims it is a gift of Ottoman architecture which can be admired as they pass by the Ring Road to and from the city of Melbourne. Founded by the Cyprus Turkish Islamic Community of Victoria and represents the Muslims of Cyprus by providing, and facilitating religious services and activities located at 618 Ballarat Rd Ardeer VIC 3022 AUSTRALIA
