This video from Mr Ladies, featuring Dr. Anbuganapathi, provides a detailed Siddha-based permanent remedy for foot corns (Kaal Aani). He explains that while surgical removal or corn caps often lead to recurrence, the traditional method addresses the root cause and prevents the corn from growing back [00:26], [01:36].
The "Corn-Nil" Remedy: Preparation & Process
Dr. Anbuganapathi introduces a two-part treatment involving an external soak and an internal supplement.
1. Preparing the "Corn-Nil" Soak
The treatment uses a specific saturated salt solution and a purified borax powder [04:15]:
Saturated Salt Solution: Dissolve 1 kg of Rock Salt (Kalluppu) in 1.5 liters of water. Boil the mixture until the salt is completely dissolved, creating a highly saturated liquid. This solution can be stored for a long time as it won't spoil [04:33], [11:13].
Purified Borax (Vengara Bhasmam): To prepare this, take 1 kg of Borax (Vengaram), grind it into a fine powder, and mix it with the whites of 4 chicken eggs. Add a little water if needed to grind it into a very smooth paste (using a traditional stone mortar is best for the necessary fineness). Dry the paste, place it in a sealed earthen pot, and subject it to traditional heat-curing (Pudam) until it becomes a fine white medicinal ash [02:18], [03:03], [03:48].
2. How to Use the Soak
Procedure: Every morning, pour some of the salt solution into a wide basin and warm it until it's lukewarm. Add 500mg (half a gram) of the Vengara Bhasmam and stir [06:14], [08:23].
Application: Sit comfortably and soak the affected foot (or hand) in the liquid for 20–30 minutes. While soaking, the corn will soften [06:40], [07:07].
Scraping: After soaking, use a spoon or a blunt blade to gently scrape the softened surface of the corn. Do not cut or dig into the skin. Repeat this soak and scrape process again in the evening (but only add the powder in the morning) [07:32], [07:56], [08:32].
Consistency: Follow this for 30 days. The key is the gradual increase in the concentration of the medicine within the salt water. By the end of the month, the corn should be completely gone [08:45], [09:22].
3. Internal Support: "Silvava" Tablets
To balance the body's humors (Tridoshas) and support the healing from within, Dr. Anbuganapathi recommends an internal supplement called Silvava [05:21].
Ingredients: This is a combination of Triphala (Kadukkai, Thandrikai, Nellikai) and Anna Bedhi Senthooram (purified iron sulfate) [05:27].
Dosage: Take one tablet three times a day after meals [09:38].
