After graduating from the Brown Institute, Greg Bell launched his radio career in 1972 at KQAQ in Austin, MN. By 1974, he was in Wisconsin at WDOR, beginning a 20-year journey in sales and management. His path took him to WIZM in La Crosse, a brief stop in Iowa, and finally to WHBY/WAPL in Appleton in 1983.

Rising through the ranks, Greg became the station manager in 1993, general manager in 1995, and was named Vice President of Broadcast Operations for Woodward Communications in 2000. His leadership helped grow Woodward Community Media from two to seven stations and included technical upgrades and strategic acquisitions. He also served eight years on the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Board, chairing it in 2003.
