If you and your Pastor know who Jesus is, why is your church in a denomination? The church Jesus built is one, unified in his body. the unity of the body of Christ. Jesus built his church to be undenominational. He built only one church. with ALL Christians part of this ONE church. Acts 2:47, Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:5; 5:23and 1 Corinthians 12:13. Man, not Jesus created denominations, and they are a direct contradiction to Jesus' desire for unity among Christians. Therefore, the Bible does not support the existence of multiple denominations, and Christians are encouraged to seek unity within the body of Christ. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one Hope. Eph. 4:4-6. The Bible teaches us the only church Jesus built consists of every Christian would congregate in various locations around the world. Denominations are counter to the Lord's call for unity. Of course, denominational differences are always doctrinal, different belief systems created by a man or a woman. The apostles never taught anything about denominations, but in fact warned that false teachers would cause division. Denominations are divisions. They are not of God. The only good thing is that we can find those of similar understanding of Doctrine and have Christian fellowship. God meant for harmony amongst believers. The Bible says there's only one God, and tells us how to worship Him, in spirit and in truth as one body in Christ. Jesus can save sinners, not denominations. Salvation is not based on a denomination.
John 17:20-26: Jesus prayed for all believers to be one. Paul mentions 7 home based churches with home-based congregations in his epistles. The seven churches of Apostle Paul's writings were Gentile converts to Christianity in the first century A.D. They were located in the cities of Rome, Corinth, Thessalonica, Philippi, Colosse, Ephesus and the Roman Province of Galatia. Of Paul's 13 writings (we cannot conclusively count Hebrews as one of his writings) 9 focused on seven churches he planted based upon the Gospels. Four others were written to individuals,1 and 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon. Remember, Paul after his calling by Jesus began preaching the gospel in 33 A.D. Romans 1:1, He did so for 35 years until his martyrdom in Rome 68 A.D. PAUL NEVER TAUGHT ANYTHING ABOUT DENOMINATIONS BUT WARNED OF FALSE TEACHERS TRYING TO DIVIDE. 1 Corinthians 1:1-11:13

Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power."
