More than 50 Democratic House members left the state, keeping the Republican-led House from moving forward with a vote on redistricting.

House Speaker Dustin Burrows issued arrest warrants for the Democrats who left Texas, but it’s largely symbolic as that only applies within state lines.

The Texas House is set to meet again on Saturday morning, but they’re running out of time — the current special session ends August 19.

Our Yami Virgin is live in Chicago and is the only San Antonio reporter there, and she’s talked with several lawmakers who say this fight is far from over.
