Welcome to lesson 162 of our video series on A Course in Miracles, explained to a child (but for everybody)!
Today's lesson dives into the transformative power of this single idea: "I am as God created me." This is a principle deeply rooted in A Course in Miracles, emphasized in its repetition throughout the course.
HERE'S THE TRANSCRIPT of LESSON 162:
Hi there! Do you want to discover the one single thought that could save the world if held firmly in the mind? Okay, here goes:
"I am as God created me."
This is the idea that is most repeated in A Course in Miracles. We already met it, and we will meet it again.
The course states that if we keep this single thought in our mind, it has the power to save the world!
So, let's repeat it today, as we reach another stage in our learning,
"I am as God created me."
As we progress on our journey, this idea will take more and more meaning. These words are indeed sacred, because they are the words that God gave in answer to the world we made. As we say these words, the world disappears, and all the things we see among its illusions will vanish. Because these words come from God.
"I am as God created me."
Here is the Word by which the Son became His Father’s happiness, His Love and His completion.
Creation is proclaimed, and honored as it is. There is no dream, no thought of sin and no illusion that can stand in the way of these words.
They are the call of awakening that resounds throughout the world. The dead are brought back to life. And those who live and hear this sound will never look on death.
"I am as God created me."
How blessed are we who can make these words our own! Let's keep them in our mind, recalling them throughout the day, and let's take them with us as we go to sleep. Our dreams will be happy and our rest secure. We will feel safe and our body will heal, because we sleep and wake up with the truth always with us. We will save the world, because we give the world what we receive each time we practice these words of truth.
"I am as God created me."
Today, our practice will be simple. Because these words are mighty, and they don't need any other thoughts to transform the mind of those who use them. When we use these words, our mind is so transformed that it becomes the treasure chest where God stores all His gifts and all His Love, that we will share with all the world.
And as we share His gifts and all His Love, they will increase in giving and remain complete because their sharing is unlimited.
And that's how we learn to think with God. Christ’s vision has restored our sight by saving our mind.
"I am as God created me."
We will be honored today! Ours is the right to embrace perfect holiness. And as we accept our holiness, we bring salvation to everyone.
Because who could hold onto sin when our perfect holiness has blessed the world? Who could despair when our perfect joy is available to everyone to cure all grief and misery, all sense of loss, sin and guilt?
And who would not be our brother now? Now that we are their redeemer and their savior. Who wouldn't want to open their heart to us, eager to unite with one like them in such holiness? We are as God created us.
"I am as God created me."
These words dispel the night, and darkness is no more. Today the light has come to bless the world. Because we have recognized the Son of God, and in this recognition, the world has recognized Him too.
"I am as God created me."
