A 2,300-mile Buddhist “Walk for Peace” was meant to spread compassion, nonviolence, and unity across the country — but when the monks passed through Georgia, they were met with hostility instead. Conservative Christian protesters shouted insults, waved threatening signs, and accused the monks of “walking to hell,” despite the group making it clear they weren’t promoting any religion at all.
