Bordeaux has seen 5 amazing vintages in the last 10 years, dare we still speak of ‘exceptional vintages’ here ? Do we perhaps need to re-define the notion of ‘exceptional’ given the climatic conditions experienced throughout our vineyards in recent years? 2019, just like 2018, will be remembered for its really contrasting weather. We had a cold, wet spring, and then a dry, hot summer with record-breaking sunshine!
The character of our unique terroir along with our technical team’s expertise have allowed this vintage to surpass itself. It boasts both phenolic richness and freshness in the fruit. This is a powerful, creamy, smooth wine.
This 2019 is not so much as a prototype as a foretaste of the trend we will observe in the decades to come. We are grateful and proud to have been able to pour our collective expertise and skills into the creation of this exceptional wine!
The sumptuous 2019 will join the long list of must-have vintages at Lagrange.
