Arc'teryx Nuclei SV Parka Initial Review! Arc'teryx WARMEST Synthetic Jacket!

I think this jacket is a really at all-purpose jacket. Although it is made for rock climbers in extremely cold conditions, it doubles as an amazing travel jacket that will last a lifetime. There are many jackets of this nature that are amazing and in choosing yours I would suggest one that fits you best. Here are a list of similar jackets, although I am quite convinced there are none better than the Arc for all-around use:

I chose the Arc jacket because it is the successor to the Dully jacket which was a fantastic jacket that lasted a very long time. I also have an Arc Proton LT and I love the fit, so I assumed this would be a great fit as well. I think it would have been if I got a large instead of an XL.

Keep in mind that synthetic belay parkas are warm but NOT THAT WARM. You can never truly have a jacket for everything, but the Nuclei comes close due to its packability/durability/insulation (grams)/and clo.

Insulation is continuous filament, self-coherent sheets. It is laminated to the face textile. It’s not hung or baffled. This means it has excellent loft retention, few seams, and excellent evenness.
