No matter how durable brick pavers are, they will always be susceptible to damage from:

and to a major extent, settling.

Dirt, debris and other factors act like sandpaper to erode the surface of brick pavers. Proper sealing helps maintain your brick pavers and keeps them looking beautiful. With sealers, you can manipulate the sheen of brick pavers, which can help make them look wet and shiny.

A professional and lasting paver sealing process typically takes 1 day for the average size job. A very small job can sometimes be done in ½ a day, and large jobs can take more time. Weather conditions also factor into the time, but typically it is about 1 day.

The first step that most companies perform, is cleaning the surface of the pavers by removing grease and dirt with a heavy-duty commercial cleaner that has an alkaline base. At Pristine Pavers, one thing that sets us apart from most companies, is that our first step is to spray down any grass or vegetation in your landscape. We spray anything that is in close proximity to the area we will be cleaning and sealing. This important step protects your landscape from any chemical damage.

Next we spray your pavers down with a fungicide to kill and remove mold and mildew. In order to protect your plants, we will then treat your vegetation AGAIN with a plant wash to neutralize any chemicals that may have over sprayed.

Next we power wash your pavers to remove all debris, stains, grease, etc.

We then rinse your pavers, washing away all debris, and also removing old sand from between the joints.

We then blow any excess sand and debris off of your pavers.

If needed, we will patch any holes or make any needed repairs.

The next step is resanding the joints of your pavers.

Once the pavers are dry we apply the first flood coat of sealer to your pavers, making sure every brick and joint are sealed. After the first layer tacks up, we then apply a second coat for optimal sealing, protection, and shine!

Our last step is final inspection of the finished product. While we do clean as we go to make sure the surrounding areas are as clean or cleaner than when we arrived, some dirt from the cleaning of your pavers may have stuck to your home. This is why we do a final walk thru, to make sure everything is as it should be. We then clean up our tools, and leave you with a clean, shiny new paver system to show off and enjoy!
