This damage survey starts on the morning after category 3 hurricane Milton hit Florida. Beginning at my chase location in Apollo Beach, south of Tampa along the eastern shore of Tampa Bay. Then driving along Highway 41 for a few miles until reaching I-75 northbound. Footage along I-75 northbound covers inland parts of the Tampa Bay area, crossing the Pasco and Hernando Counties, until reaching Ocala.

Post-Storm:
I took some much-needed rest overnight, and surveyed the damage around my location during the early morning of the 10th, then drove along Highway 41 for a few miles until reaching I-75 for my return to Maryland. I drove back to Maryland throughout the 10th, and made it home at around 2:30am on the 11th, after nearly 18 hrs on the road, and during an amazing Aurora (Northern Lights) event! Hurricane MILTON is my 5th direct major hurricane experience (i.e. within storm’s radius of maximum winds). This marks my 25th overall tropical cyclone experience, 16th chase, and 3rd chase of 2024.
