IVD Busted at Lagos Airport: Blessing CEO arrives Qatar alone - Nigerian celebrity news

Auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD) was reportedly arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to travel to Qatar for his wedding—with Blessing CEO. The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions intervened just before he could board the plane. This arrest tied directly into his ongoing court case, which stems from the tragic death of his late wife, Bimbo, in 2022 .

Blessing CEO confirmed the arrest on Instagram. She labeled it illegal, politically driven, and emotionally fueled. She accused authorities of bias and demanded transparency—“no case file, no statement,” she wrote, challenging the justice system to explain itself .

The case in question? IVD is facing a count of involuntary manslaughter (suit No LD/21055C/23) in connection to the death of his wife Bimbo, who passed away from fire-related injuries during a domestic incident in their Lagos home in October 2022 . Stella Dimoko-Korkus, a well-known entertainment blogger, confirmed that under court orders, IVD was not allowed to leave Nigeria while the case remains unresolved .

Media outlets share that IVD is expected to be held in custody until Monday, August 4, 2025, when he will be formally charged in court . Blessing CEO has called it a bullying tactic, vowing she “won’t tolerate this anymore,” insisting the arrest is a show of emotional leverage, not justice .
