Abstarct - This IoT-based system utilizes a 5V SMPS to provide regulated power to a NodeMCU, which acts as the primary controller and Wi-Fi interface. The NodeMCU establishes a secure connection with the Adafruit IO server, enabling remote monitoring and control of the home environment via an interactive dashboard. When a user triggers a command for the fan, light, pump, or street light, the server sends a signal back to the NodeMCU through the MQTT protocol. Since the NodeMCU’s GPIO pins provide minimal current, transistors are used as high-speed electronic switches to drive these four separate loads safely. The transistor base receives the logic signal, allowing a larger current to flow through the device to activate the specific appliance. This configuration ensures that the microcontroller remains isolated from high-load surges while maintaining precise control over high-wattage components. For the street light, logic can be automated based on scheduling or sensor data processed through the cloud for efficiency. The system provides real-time status feedback, ensuring the dashboard accurately reflects whether a device is currently active or inactive. By integrating cloud communication with solid-state switching, this setup offers a scalable and cost-effective way to achieve smart home automation. Ultimately, the SMPS ensures a stable power delivery that protects the sensitive electronics from fluctuations during device operation.
