I was going to edit this to be the dopamine dynamite that "good quality" YouTube videos bring to the table, but that just didn't fit with the moment. And there's also the possibility that I don't actually know how to edit for this era of YouTube altogether but that is beside the point!

It’s just us, walking into Staples thinking we’d leave with our books in hand… and realizing we’d have to wait. Blind optimism will do that to you, and unfortunately for Jenn it's contagious. What started as a quick errand turned into a half-month pause before we finally got to hold our first drafts for real.

There's no big takeaway from this video, it's just a quiet milestone we wanted to remember. Finishing a first draft is strange and emotional and a little anticlimactic in the best way. Printing it made it feel real in a way we weren’t expecting, and really there is nothing like holding your book in front of you, who knew? Not us. At least not until this day.
