The Limerick Soviet | April 1919 - Episode 10

For two weeks in April 1919 the city of Limerick was governed by a workers council. The short lived Limerick Soviet was called in response to the imposition of martial law on the city. It had its own police force and issued its own currency. This episode looks at what drove the soviet and how it came to an end.
