Red Notice 2 has yet to receive any official confirmation, despite being discussed for quite some time. Shortly after the release of the first film, Dwayne Johnson hinted at the possibility of continuing the franchise. In October 2022, producers Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia shared an update about potential second and third installments (via ScreenRant).

However, based on the producers' statements, there doesn't appear to be a concrete schedule for production, which casts doubt on the sequel's future. To make matters more complicated, reports emerged in May 2024 suggesting there was tension between Ryan Reynolds and Johnson during the filming of the original movie. While some members of the production team are still enthusiastic about a sequel, several major hurdles remain.
