Saturday update on the powerful storm that is impacting the southwest U.S, including California. There is also a threat for light snow across the Northeast with light snow accumulations. Sunday there is a threat for high winds across New Mexico and West Texas. In addition, severe weather is expected to develop later in the day across the southern Plains. The threat for severe weather continues into Monday across the Ohio Valley. At the same time, additional storm systems will land in the western U.S. and provide additional rain and snow. Then on Monday and Tuesday, the Upper Midwest and Northeast will have a threat for a wintry mess with ice accumulations and the potential for significant snowfall.
