This video shows off some of the content offered in my openxcom mods. Featured are guardian and assault tanks along with the machine gun and altered rifle. The Skyranger is the original version and not the version from my mod.

This could be your first terror mission, all conventional technology and you're at severe disadvantage to the aliens. My mods don't make your equipment any stronger (weaker in some cases) but they offer you choices and ways to strategize. With experience and cunning, you can make the game feel easy.

Notice how the guardian tank soaks up hits like a champ. It's great for being the first unit off the ramp because of the high likelihood of an alien camping out there, waiting for someone to emerge. The assault tank has the weapons power and high accuracy. One shot easily destroys that cyberdisc, likely with a lot of overkill damage. While the assault tank has decent front armor, it was actually pretty lucky to survive the hit from the cyberdisc. Assault tanks are basically glass cannons, great for penetrating heavy armor and killing terrorist units.

The modified rifle is great for aimed or snap shots but isn't very good with autofire. The machinegun has low accuracy but high rate of fire and carries a lot of ammo. It has lower damage than the rifle but is great at spraying bullets everywhere.
