From the 1997 PC game Flight Unlimited II by Looking Glass Studios.

This was recorded on a Windows 10 PC in 2024 with dgVoodoo2 injected into the game files to resolve compatibility issues.

In this mission we start lined up on the runway at Inglenook Ranch air strip - which no longer exists IRL - in Napa County and must make our way first to Oakland Coliseum, then onto 3COM Park (aka Candlestick Park) - which also no longer exists - and finally we land at SFO.

I decided to utilise VOR-to-VOR navigation because the Scaggs Island and Oakland VORs lined up nicely with the route.

The radio is inop and for a while I assumed AI traffic had been disabled, until I finally observed an airliner climbing nearby as I approached Oakland. Anyway, the radio situation suits me otherwise we would have had Bay Approach hounding us constantly on guard.

For some reason the engine cut out right as I was on final as SFO. Is that scripted or just bad luck? Guess I'll have to replay the mission to find out.

Finally, did you notice the thinly-veiled dig in the mission instructions at a certain hit 1993 point and click adventure game? Can't say I ever understood hype around it myself but maybe you just had to be there at the time to appreciate it.
