Itsekiri, Ijaw Ethnic Groups Demand Restart Of Abandoned Projects

Days after the Ijaws and Itsekiris of oil producing communities in Delta state staged different protests demanding the restart of abandoned projects and neglect by the federal government, leaders of the two ethnic groups have threatened to shut down operations of all International Oil Companies in their communities.

The leaders called for a quick intervention to forestall a breach of the peace in their areas.
