Fall Northern Pike Fishing on Great Slave Lake, Northwest Territories - Fish'N The Arctic S1Ep2

Fast forward one year to 2019 after a successful Pilot Episode, my proposal to film 3 new episodes for season 1 was accepted by NorthwesTel Community TV and NWT Film. The dream continues!

On this episode we head out onto Great Slave Lake at the end of summer or beginning of winter! Sometimes its hard to tell living in the Arctic. Thankfully this time we had weather on our side and I headed out on the hunt for a giant weed line Northern Pike.

It just happened to be a Facebook anniversary of a Giant Silver Pike that I had caught, many seasons ago with a friend that use to take me fishing when I first moved to Yellowknife. So it was only natural to start in that very spot and see if that big old Silver Pike was still around! Big Baits are on the menu and with the pressure of winter fast approaching, the fish are beginning to put on the feed bag, for the long winter ahead.
