Tbourida (Fantasia): An Immortal Moroccan Equestrian Tradition

The tbourida, or fantasia, is a Moroccan equestrian tradition famous for its masterful cavalry demonstrations. Riders in traditional attire perform synchronized shots, offering an intense and poetic spectacle. This tradition has inspired artists such as Eugène Delacroix and the composer Philippe Musard. Recognized for its cultural value, the tbourida has been inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list since 2021.
