CYCLING TO UMLING LA PASS DAY 11 DISASTER | 4 Friends Get COMPLETELY LOST at 19,024 Feet Taking Wrong Route to World's Highest Motorable Pass!
What started as the perfect plan to cycle 140km from Hanle to Umling La Pass turned into an EPIC DISASTER when we took the wrong route and got completely lost in the mountains at extreme altitude!
⛰️ THE DISASTER UNFOLDS:
✅ Started 5:50 AM from Hanle (7°C temperature!)
✅ Perfect sunrise and 4 excited friends ready to conquer the impossible
✅ Early signs something was wrong - no traffic, deserted paths
✅ Realized we took WRONG ROUTE to Nurbula Top (thought we reached it but we hadn't!)
✅ Got shocking news: Still 60km to Chismule + 25km to Umling La
✅ Total distance became 85km ONE WAY instead of planned route
💥 WHAT WENT CATASTROPHICALLY WRONG:
Wrong route through Zursar valley - completely deserted
Mistook Gongma La for Nurbula Top (HUGE mistake!)
No human contact for 3+ hours in remote mountains
Rough terrain destroyed our bicycles
Army jeep confirmed we're on correct route BUT much longer distance
Team morale crashed when reality hit
🏔️ EXTREME CONDITIONS:
Altitude: 4,840m and climbing to 5,798m (19,024 feet)
Temperature: Started at 7°C, getting colder
Terrain: Sand, stones, bumpy roads, construction zones
Wildlife: Wild donkeys, suicide insects attacking eyes
No water sources in the area

Distance to Chismule is 60km (not the expected shorter route)
Come prepared with extra water and food
