Speech neuroprostheses are a rapidly developing technology that has the potential to restore fast, accurate, and intuitive communication to people who are unable to speak intelligibly due to neurologic injury or neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS. Here, the group demonstrated a rapidly-deployable high performance speech neuroprosthesis that provides real-time brain-to-text and brain-to-voice decoding.
