Bihar Floor Test: The Bihar Assembly session commenced on Monday with Nitish Kumar's government poised to face a trust vote, following his recent switch in allegiance from the Mahagathbandhan to the NDA bloc. As per the Assembly schedule, the no-confidence motion against Speaker Awadh Bihari Choudhary is set to be taken up after Governor R V Arlekar's address. Ahead of the crucial vote, political parties have taken measures to secure their MLAs amidst concerns of 'poaching'. The Congress airlifted its MLAs to Hyderabad, while RJD's members stayed together at Tejashwi Yadav's house. BJP leader Nityanand Rai asserted the presence of all 78 BJP MLAs in a Patna hotel, while JD(U) accommodated 40 of its MLAs in another hotel in the state capital.
