GoFundMe Organizer Stories: Water for Flint

Описание к видео GoFundMe Organizer Stories: Water for Flint

On January 5, 2016, a federal state of emergency was declared in Flint, Michigan, due to the dangerous levels of lead present in the public’s water supply. Many families are now having to live off of store-bought bottled water, though few can afford it.

Marseille Allen, a resident of Flint, is among many good samaritans who are taking matters into their own hands by raising money to deliver safe drinking water to those in need. Marseille started out with a modest goal of $1,000, but she never expected just how much momentum her initiative would gain, and how many lives she would be able to touch because of it.
