Описание к видео All 1994 Formula 1 track layout modifications – Part 1/2

This is an educative compilation about all important changes in track layouts of venues corresponding to the 1994 Formula 1 season. It started as a reaction of GPDA on heavy improvements to the safety, after both Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger tragic accidents during the San Marino Grand Prix, which took away their lives.

This is the full list:

0:00 to 0:39 - Spanish Grand Prix, Circuit de Catalunya: A temporary chicane was located between Campsa and Nissan. Removed in 1995.

0:40 to 1:01 - Canadian Grand Prix, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve: A temporary chicane was put between L'Epingle and Casino (before it was turned into the long Casino Straight). Removed in 1996.

1:02 to 1:25 - British Grand Prix, Silverstone Circuit: The flat-out Abbey curve was transformed from a kink to a chicane. Still exists, despite the current layout for the Formula 1 event doesn't include it.

1:26 to 2:08 - Belgian Grand Prix, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: Probably the most symbolic modification. The bloody-fast Eau Rouge was modify to a chicane. Went back to normality in 1995 as fast as before.

2:09 to 2:34 - Portuguese Grand Prix, Autódromo do Estoril: A slow and cumbersome uphill chicane was added to bypass the Tanque corner. It remains in existence.

2:35 to 3:23 - European Grand Prix, Circuito Permanente de Jerez: A chicane was added to the Turn 11, between Peluqui and Ferrari. Still alive.
