Today, we're announcing the public launch of Inbound.

Resend has expanded its capabilities beyond just modernizing email sending, now offering an easy way for users to receive emails as well. This new feature, known as Inbound, opens up various use cases such as:
replying to in-app emails
processing forwarded attachments
receiving support emails from users.

Choose between using your team's default inbound domain or setting up a custom domain. Resend processes all incoming emails by parsing the content as JSON, storing attachments, and sending a JSON payload to a specified endpoint.

To start receiving emails with Resend:
1. Get your email address (your team's default .resend.app address or a custom domain).
2. Configure a webhook
3. Set up the webhook to capture email.received events.

Once an email event is received, users can process the email and its attachments' metadata. Resend also provides visibility of all inbound emails through an interface where emails can be filtered and viewed in detail, even if a webhook is not configured. For handling attachments, users can utilize the Attachments API to extract and download content, facilitating the processing of forwarded items like tickets and receipts.
