(Reaction) SpongeBob Movie Mashup Segmented Speedrun in

This is a 100 token (and 54 extras) mod of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. It's by far the biggest TSSM mod, with the second biggest arguably being "Careful, SpongeBob" at 16 tokens, a small hub world, and a few extras. This is a "segmented" speedrun, meaning most sections were stitched together.

This is the "Unrestricted" category, so everything is allowed except for Pause Storage and in-game cheats. This category is very toxic because of the token animation skips and big damage boost skips, but it makes for an excellent showcase of the game.

People usually run "Restricted" which bans the big damage boosts, token animation skips, box-state, VMS, etc. That category is signiciantly easier, especially to get into. As this is a mod, people treat it as a secondary speedgame and thus don't wanna sink that much time into it. It's fun for sure, and has some cool stuff that even beginners can do, so it's the best category to actually run while this the best theoretical demonstration of the game.

If you're confused about how sometimes Sky will approach a token, but the video cuts to a different part of the level as the menu opens, it's simply Sky replicating a token animation skip. Walking into a token and pausing at the same time advances the game by one frame, and within a two-frame window you can pick up the token and skip the animation, as long as you warp somewhere. So those cuts are just Sky pretending they successfully got the token animation skip to make creating the segmented run much easier.
