Already a big fan of the original mini palette, wanted to try out one of their new mini palettes without too many duplicates, so I went with the granulating palette.

Only 6 colors in this palette, with some room to grow. All colors included are single pigments with varying degrees of lightfastness. Qor has an unusual lightfastness scale.

Atmospheric perspective bookmark- purple mountains majesty- layering mountains?

The lid doesn't lay flat on this palette, so it's challenging to use the lid as a mixing palette as designed.

These really granulate a lot, especially on this paper (stonehenge aqua), but they can also cloud up and go opaque (like the Ultramarine violet).

With granulating paints, you hit a level of layers where they can just start to slough off if you're not careful (the treeline at the bottom). So even tyhough I tried to fix the treeline, it still sloughs off.

I would say this amount of layering and granulation isn't intended, but these colors came etogether as a set.

After it dries, do you want to try to lift out some trees or flowers from the foreground if it's going to lift anyway? Demonstrate how easy it is to lift up?

Suuuper easy to lift.

Allow it to fully dry, remove the tape.

Clean out the palette

Fill with new colors.

This is'nt really the sort of set where I can give a verdict- it's a collection of Qor paints that are all single pigment and granulating. While I wish they would've filled up the slots, I can also understand the rational to not- I feel like they're probably assuming you have other Qor paints. Part of me wishes they sold half pans so you could pick up colors where you want a little of it, but not a whole tube.
