Welcome to Season 3 of my channel!

On this episode we make our way to the isolated anchorage of Bänö and I get my first proper "Bows To" experience. After a few flybys... or floatbys in this case, Neil finds a spot he is happy with and we make our way in and get tied up to a tree and a large stone. This style of anchoring in common in Scandinavia where the rock faces often make steep decent to depths safe enough to pull a sailboat right up to the rock face. With the help of our stern anchor whom was dropped and paid out at a safe distance and keeps us off the rocks and snug in our anchorage.

This season will follow my time on board SV Arcturus as we explore the Åland Islands and beyond. We sail into cities, tie up on small islands, anchor bows to and ride out a blow before heading back to Sweden. I hope you will follow along with us on the trip.
