Sd.Kfz. 2 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 2), also known as Kettenkrad HK 101, is a high—terrain semi-tracked motorcycle developed and mass-produced in Germany during World War II. It was developed for use in the parachute and mountain infantry divisions of the Air Force and Ground Forces of Nazi Germany, however, due to its high dynamic characteristics, it became very popular in the German army and was widely used by all its units. A total of 8870 motorcycles were produced by NSU and Stoewer from 1940 to 1945. After the end of the war, about 550 more machines were assembled from the remaining reserve of parts during the period, which were used in agriculture and forestry until the 1950s.
