Refrigerator shredding, crushing, sorting and recycling line display

This video showcases a recycling process for old refrigerators. First, the refrigerators are fed into an industrial shredder that tears them apart into smaller pieces. This helps to liberate the different materials inside, like metal, plastic, and insulation foam.
Next, the shredded material goes through a series of sorting stages. Powerful magnets extract any ferrous metals, while an eddy current separator removes the non-ferrous metals like aluminum. Air classifiers then separate the lighter plastic and foam materials.
By systematically breaking down and sorting the refrigerator components, this recycling line is able to recover and repurpose a high percentage of the original materials.
