There are probably other versions of Gregor Jordan's short out there, with better image quality, but this one shows how the ABC used Nell "Puberty Blues" Schofeld to package it as the lead show in "The Australian Collection", which aired in 1996. (The ABC logo and intro run almost as long as the short)

What distinguishes this version from others is that it has some introductory remarks by Jordan about what he intended to accomplish with the show.

The film was an early entry in John Polson's germinating TropFest in 1995.

The film shows something of the mordant, dark humour of Jordan's hit feature Two Hands (1999), a film which was followed by the erratic 2001 Buffalo Soldiers.

Thankfully it has little connection to Jordan's 2003 contribution to the screen mythology of Irish Australian bushranger Ned Kelly, one of seemingly never ending series of features attempting to capture the Ned legend.

When recalling that outing, this writer finds a dark humour in the bizarre spectacle of Working Title, a UK production company, spending most of its time worrying about how long Heath Ledger could avoid wearing the alienating full quid dinkum Ned beard. What would his female fan base think of the hirsute look?

Jordan had a relatively short wiki listing.
