It's possible to max out Yosuke's social link before Kanji's dungeon. But it's not easy to do. The first 6 ranks are easy. Then when you reach rank 7, that's when you have to use the bed to earn more points. The problem with the bed is it will often pick Chie for some reason. There's a way to fight this but it's not perfect. When the bed gives you the wrong character or no dreams at all, instead of closing the game and rebooting it, let the cutscene on the next day play out. Then reload your save with the menu. Then use the bed again. This method has a chance of giving you Yosuke instead of Chie. You can still end up getting no dreams at all and you will have to perform the method again.

You have to use the bed a total of three times. The shrine is only available to use on May 7. Getting a Great Blessing or Mild both work. Assuming you got a Yosuke dream on May 6. His rank 9 doesn't give enough points for the next rank up, despite having a Pixie. So you will have to use the bed again for the third time.
