When young filmmakers are given the space to tell their stories, magic happens! Our Storytelling for Film & TV Program brought together passionate students for ten Saturday sessions with Teaching Artist Lily Sarosi and Miranda Agnew, CWP's Young Adult Program Manager, transforming individual creative visions into powerful short films.

"My film is meant to give you a different view on pigeons and how they are just beautiful birds we abandoned and suffer so much from people who were supposed to care for them." - Koa

Through writing, storyboarding, film analysis, and even an NBC Studios tour, our students developed the skills to capture and edit their own footage. Each film tells a unique story—from family bonds to personal passions to, yes, the beauty of pigeons! 🎬

The journey culminated in a celebratory screening at Spectacle Theater in Williamsburg, where these young voices were honored and amplified.

This is the power of arts education: giving students the tools to see the world differently and share that vision with others.
