Hello Beautiful People! Welcome to the Twelve Days Of Christmas Collaboration! Sarah Mack and I have teamed up with Lee & Jeremy Masse to pour inspired by the 12 different items in the song the Twelve Days Of Christmas.. and tonight I am pouring the Four Calling Birds! This is going to be a lot of fun, we will be posting each episode at 4pm PST/ 7 pm EST every night from now until Christmas! Lets get started! I am so excited about this pour!

in Any of My Paint.

I am using 4 separate color palettes, each with white and gold. I layer 4 cups, one with greens, one with blues, one with violets, and the last one is a combination.

I pour the green cup into a puddle of gold in a lovely ring pour, then pour the blue one directly in the middle of the first one. I pour the violet cup into the center of the blue pour, then the last combination cup into the middle of the violet.
This creates a layered look that really reminded me of a nest. Birds will build their nests out of layers of different materials. I wanted to pour the cups that way to avoid blending the green with the violet. Ultimately we ended up losing most of the green pour but I love what ended up on the canvas.

I use a skewer to wreck my pours and I really love the effect it created. Looking at it while editing I realize that there is actually a bird with its beak open! Hes so cute!
