AWS VPC FLOW LOGS VIDEO TUTORIAL WITH USEFUL INFORMATION

Enabling VPC Flow Logs will allow you to monitor IP traffic coming from all network interfaces within the VPC.

However, we also need to enable the log publishing destination so that we can retrieve and view the logs.

Flow logs can be enabled at multiple levels.

1. VPC
2. network interface
3. subnets
4. also all other network interfaces connected to AWS services.

1. create an EC2 instance in the default VPC

2. create the CloudWatch log group

3. create an IAM role and assign permission to write VPC flow logs to CloudWatch and a trusted advisor
