Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back at Starbucks so we all know what that means.. Fall is comin’! So today, I want to talk to you guys (all 300+ of you 😱) about transitioning your wardrobes from the hot summer months to the cooler fall months.

Then I’ll bring you along as I talk through my own closet transition and how I make decisions on the pieces that need to go into storage and the pieces that stay in my closet as we head into fall.

Firstly, let’s talk about color palettes and fashion seasons. Truthfully, this could be an entire video on its own. Comment below and let me know if you’d like to see that from me because I’d love to do it! I look at the clothes in my closet through this set of guidelines.

❄️The Winter fashion season is December through February. I wear cool tones rooted in black and grey during those months.

🌷The Spring fashion season is March through May. I wear cool tones rooted in navy during those months.

☀️The Summer fashion season is June through August. I wear warm tones rooted in olive green in those months.

🍂The Fall fashion season is September through November. I wear warm tones rooted in brown during those months.

My signature color palette is light neutrals with pops of yellow and gold jewelry, so I incorporate that throughout the year.

This helps me hone myself in and stops me from buying olive sweaters or orange cami's. I really wouldn’t wear those pieces and having this set of guidelines helps me make thoughtful shopping decisions. Because… if I was left to my own devices I would buy all the things in all the colors and only wear a fraction of my new clothes. 😅🛍🤪
