A short video essay detailing the what, the history, and the impact of optical sound on the film industry. This video was produced for the class ENGL 1102 at the Georgia Institute of Technology and for educational purposes only. It is in no means, monetizable, and all videos and sources will be cited below.

Edit: The instance of Steamboat Willie has been claimed, but it is not a strike. I cannot remove it very easily due to the flow of time in the video for project reasons so it has to remain.
