Swapping 3 week old Castrol (BP Oils) gear oil with Redline MT-90, i swapped this C52 gearbox (4.312 final drive) with one that i broke a few weeks before, filled with Castrol 75w only to find it very hard to shift when cold (Australian summer 'cold' - 35 deg C ambient temp) and would only shift normally after about 15 mins of driving. Also second gear, and third gear would crunch when shifting above 7000rpm. Can this redline full synthetic oil help? it costs 2.5 times more than the castrol oil, but if it saves me sourcing another 'good' box and a Saturday morning swapping it, it is worth it!
