Aggressive Horse Rears When Lunged

Описание к видео Aggressive Horse Rears When Lunged

There are two main problem horses in this videos. The first one struck at me when I asked him to lunge. He is 15 years old gaited horse. I am told he is good under saddle. I saw his sale video and I would not agree. He was very quick and high headed and did not give to the bridle. The second black horse (in the indoor) was aggressive in the stall and to lead and to lunge. When I lunge a horse I do not want him trotting or running around like crazy. I want him to be soft in his face, giving to pressure, following a feel and being able to do nice transitions from a walk to a trot (only when I can have him walk and halt first) and back to a walk. I never need them to canter on the lunge. I do not understand why anyone would ride a horse that will not walk and halt on the lunge line nicely. That being said, you won't ever see me lunging my horse before I ride as I did this when my horses were young and once they get it, the rules are the rules. You can never lunge the energy out of a horse. If he's disrespectful he will still have energy for one more buck, rear etc.
