Katelios, Kefalonia, Greece

Katelios lies on the south coast of Kefalonia (also known as Cephalonia) which is the largest and highest of the Ionian Islands. It is a small and laid-back resort in a gorgeous setting with a lovely sandy beach and has good views of the 1,627m (5,338ft) high Mount Enos. Katelios has several excellent tavernas and bars offering a good choice of food and drinks.A number of hotels and rooms for rent supply accommodation to suit most tastes and pockets. There are several excellent walks from the village where there is ample flora and fauna to keep those interested in nature happy. We would recommend hiring a car for at least a couple of days as the rest of the island is simply stunning and needs to be explored!
