This is a technical video about how to use the scanner when getting serious about data-driven diagnosis. Live data from your vehicles computer and sensors is essential when troubleshooting certain types of problems. Also, after you have collected live data, it is helpful to be able to extract it to a computer for graphing, archiving or forwarding to a tuning or general mechanic shop, etc.
This video demonstrates how to capture data, set live data thresholds, generate and email automated reports, take screen recordings and print screens (screen shots) and how to export that data to a computer. The last part of the video shows sample data that was graphed for demonstration purposes. The bidirectional OBD2 scanner used is an XTOOL D7.
