Alice In Wonderland Disneyland Current Tulgey Wood music 10 minute loop (1984-present)

Описание к видео Alice In Wonderland Disneyland Current Tulgey Wood music 10 minute loop (1984-present)

This is a 10 minute loop of the current Tulgey Wood music, used at Disneyland's Alice in Wonderland dark ride since its major 1984 refurbishment. It repeats every minute. It is a forest where it is very easy to get lost. The Cheshire Cat lives here, as well as many other strange & otherworldly creatures. This part of the ride features scenes from the 1951 film such as the confusing signs, Alice getting lost, & the Cheshire Cat. Many of these scenes have been here since the 1984 refurbishment. The first Cheshire Cat is a screen that was changed twice, in a 2007 refurbishment and the larger refurbishment in 2014. The second Cheshire Cat was formerly a physical prop where his body and eyes lit up when the vehicles passed by. In the 2014 refurb, this figure was replaced by a screen with a fluid animation of the Cheshire Cat. Although I think screens are definitely overused in the modern Disney parks, in this particular case I think it works very well. The 3D Alice figure was added in the 2014 refurb, made by Garner Holt Productions. The strange creatures have been there since 1984, however the small birds in the bird cage actually date back to the original 1958 version of the ride. That is why they are still plywood cutouts. The final Cheshire Cat opens the door that takes us and Alice to the next section, the realm of the Queen of Hearts. This figure has remained pretty much the same since 1984, aside from a newer & more vibrant paint job since 2014. This ride has always been very vibrant & colorful, but the 2014 refurb did a nice job enhancing this aspect. To this day, the vibrant colors bring to mind the art style of Mary Blair, the legendary artist behind Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, & Peter Pan films, and it's a small world at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, & Tokyo Disneyland. The many changing pictures in this video are in chronological order. Most before the 2014 refurb were found online. The 2009 flash picture of the birdcage was taken by my parents, and all of them from 2021-2024 were taken by me. My 2024 pictures are better than my previous ones because my phone now has a much better camera. It helps that the lighting was fixed up in Summer 2023 after a few years of relative neglect. This great instrumental was adapted from the 1951 film and recomposed for the 1982-84 refurbishment by John Debney, who has also done several other scores from Disney rides and movies, including the other Fantasyland dark rides since 1983 (Peter Pan, Snow White, & Mr Toad rebuilt, & Pinocchio added). I hope you enjoy this great audio!
