What is Islam?
The word "Islam" in Arabic translates to "submission to the will of God". The key point of Islam is to worship God only and to not associate any partners with him. Islam is meant to be a guide for us during our time on Earth and a way for us to learn more about our creator.

Why do Muslims call God "Allah"?
In Arabic, "Allah" translates to "the God". We don't believe he is only God of Muslims, but of everybody. We believe he is the same God who sent the original Gospel and Torah. We believe God is one, he has no children, no equals and is unlike anything that a human brain could fully understand.

What is the Quran?
The Quran is the holy book of Islam. It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) over the course of 23 years. Usually God would give verses of the Quran to Angel Gabriel who would pass the message to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) spread the message to his companions and they memorized the Quran by heart during those 23 years, and it was not until after Prophet Muhammad's death that it was compiled into an actual book. We were instructed to memorize the Quran to help prevent it from getting changed or corrupted. It is estimated there are over 100 million people worldwide who currently have the Quran memorized by heart. We believe in the same Prophets and share many of the same stories as the Bible and Torah, sometimes with different details.

Who is Jesus in Islam?
In Islam Jesus (Isa in Arabic) peace be upon him is a messenger of God, we believe in the miracle of Mary (Maryam) giving birth to him with no father. We believe Jesus is alive in heaven right now and will return as the Messiah to defeat the Antichrist (Dajjal in Arabic) near the end of times.

God bless you, Asalamu Alaykum 💚
