I wanna be the SAN - Stage 7 - 22 hours - Clear!!!! [Deaths cut]

Описание к видео I wanna be the SAN - Stage 7 - 22 hours - Clear!!!! [Deaths cut]

Well, this was a lot harder than expected. I am very happy to have finally cleared this stage, I've been wanting to play it for nearly 5 years thanks to the Flandre road block that I've finally got past.

Regarding my experience of this stage, it's a mixed bag. I generally really liked it, but one vine save really upset me which was Save 14 (I would've liked it more if that really annoying final part wasn't present where I had to learn a new vine skill to beat). I wasn't too fond of Save 15 either, and Save 16 has an annoying ending, and Save 17 has an annoying beginning. I would've liked Save 17 more if not for the annoying beginning.

Also Save 13's third vine to fourth vine transition feels like RNG and I'm not sure how to do it consistently, which made it quite annoying as well.

I didn't really like the music change for Save 31 (30 if you don't count Save 27 twice for both of its routes as you use the save twice) but it was still fun enough.

Explanation of the water types:
Dark Blue Water: Slows the player and allows infinite jump but does not give double jump when exiting the water.
Light Blue Water: Slows the player and allows infinite jump but does give double jump when exiting the water.
Yellow Water: Does not slow down the player but gives infinite jump and does give double jump when exiting the water.

Yellow Water is the hardest one to deal with as the player has full gravity and no slowdown. Think of it like having infinite jump refreshers in the air just in small patches, it's a similar situation. Yellow Water is the main contributor to Save 25's difficulty learning curve-wise.

I started grinding this on the 27th August 2024, and finished on 2nd September 2024 (Therefore took 7 days to complete, though actually 6 days as I skipped Friday 30th August 2024 grinding)

I've provided time stamps below of all the individual saves and how long each save took me to complete. This took quite a while, so I hope people like this! This breakdown will also serve for some explanations of saves I'll be giving below the list for those who want them.

As for the promised explanations, I'm only going to be explaining the difficult ones I feel need explanation:

Save 14 requires knowledge of a particular input strategy, and this input strategy will be very important in Save 16. The strategy is that when on a vine, let go of holding it as well as the jump key after pressing the opposite arrow key all in one motion sequence. If you do this you'll do a low long hop jump instead of going too high like you normally would on the vine. This is required to get through the gap in Save 14, and is essential for getting your character in the precise spot required for the dense apples in Save 16. Generally, getting used to this strategy is important.

Also the ending of Save 14 requires a hold jump then quickly press opposite directional key to vine + tap opposite key, and you need to regrab vine from top.

Tip about Save 16 floating vines, the player can fall through it and then jump off of the vine like as if it's on a wall using the same inputs as normal provided the jump key is held.

On Save 17, the vines that move across the screen act as a wall as they're moving, you can ignore the left arrow key entirely and just time when to hold right arrow key and when to let go of right arrow key instead to choose sections of the vine to jump off of, as you'll automatically jump off of it so long as you're holding right arrow key when it intersects with the player.

Also the third vine near the second apple in Save 17 has a very specific pixel position that allows the player to simply hold the right arrow & jump inputs when making it past the apple, please observe in the video if you need help on this.

As for the final climb in Save 17, it's hard to tell when you're in the gap but if you're even remotely inside the gap and not flung out, immediately make sure jump is held and then mash right arrow key and then left arrow key and keep doing so in sequence in very fast succession and you'll make it.
