BIOS:
Phillip Roberts is a composer and performer with a penchant for music theory. The musical heritage of his home state, Virginia, lends an air of Americana to much of Roberts' music, and his preference for driving rhythms and modal harmonies comes from his passion for funk and soul. During the summer, Roberts teaches Music Theory and Electronic Music Composition at Interlochen Center for the Arts. He has fulfilled commissions for the Luray Main Street Singers, the University of Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and the opening of the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts. As a pianist and organist, Roberts is an active recitalist, championing not only his own works but those of his fellow composers. He was a pianist for the Cincinnati Ballet and has toured the East Coast and United Kingdom as a collaborative keyboardist for vocalists and choirs. John Hilliard, Marilyn Shrude and Michael Fiday are among the composers with whom he has studied.

Anne Misener teaches and performs violin in the Cincinnati, Ohio region, the New York City area, and beyond. She enjoys championing new works, especially by composer and partner Dr. Phillip Roberts, as well as works by lesser-known composers and ensembles. Similarly, Anne also enjoys recording and collaborating: she has recorded with artists such as Nick Black and Loaded for Bear for Ballet Memphis, and has premiered shows such as Chameleon off-Broadway. During the pandemic, Anne and Phil recorded and released four "Quarantine Concerts" on YouTube and plan to record more. Anne and Phil are happy to be joined by Michael G. Ronstadt for a live Trio Concert to be performed in September 2022 in Oxford, Ohio as part of the Red Door Concert Series at Holy Trinity Episcopal. Anne is also excited to be joining the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra violin section in fall 2022.

Musician Michael Ronstadt deftly traverses a range of musical styles from singer-songwriter, folk, jazz, classical, Americana and new age. As a cello instructor at Earlham College and Indiana University East both Michael and his students have risen to the complex and multifaceted challenges faced by today’s musicians. Mr. Ronstadt is comfortable in a variety of venues from the recording studio to the concert hall. While his performance schedule splits his time between Cincinnati and Philadelphia, he is available in either location for lessons both in person and online. Additionally, Michael provides workshops and coaches ensembles of both classical and non-classical music. He holds degrees in cello performance from the University of Arizona and the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music. Michael is Linda Ronstadt’s nephew.
