What's so special about Croatia's largest national park? Plitvice National Park is one of the most popular places to visit in Croatia? But does it live up to its hype? Let's find out.

Few things to keep in mind when you are in Plitvice Lakes National Park:
➡️ Entrance fee can cost anywhere from 8 euro to 30 euro based on season.
➡️ Each entry time has a limited amount of tickets. So better to book tickets online as you don't have to wait for an empty slot to enter the park.
➡️ Swimming in the lake is not allowed owing to its UNESCO World Heritage Status as it'll damage the sensitive ecosystem
➡️ Start early if possible. Park usually opens between 7am - 8am. Earlier you reach, lesser crowd you'll jostle through. Especially for the shorter hikes
➡️ Longer routes like trail K are much more peaceful and far less crowded. But you'd need an entire day for this.
➡️ Make sure that you book accommodation close to the park so you can spend as much time inside the park as possible.
➡️ Multi-day passes are also available if you want to spend more time here. That'd be a good idea as you'll get to explore a lot more than the usual tourists.
➡️ Drones are not allowed here.
